With a 16″ / 41cm cutting width it’s recommended for lawns up to 300 sqm so on the small to medium size. Powering the Classic 16s is the popular Stiga ST120 engine which is fitted to many Mountfield and Stiga mowers already so is tried and tested. For the best cut and finish on your lawn always start on the highest cutting setting (65mm) and work down to the lowest (22mm). By removing the grass collector the clippings are discharged to the rear of the mower, this is a handy option in areas where you can leave these clippings to wilt down naturally. The mulch plug is inserted into the rear discharge chute where it will work with the blade to cut the clippings into a fine mulch which is deposited back onto the ground. The mulch is virtually invisible and will help to keep in moisture and nutrients for the grass roots. Mulching is recommended in drier conditions when the grass is short for the best results.
